Woolly Mammoth Doodle

March 13, 2011

I tried my hand at wool felting. What a totally fun thing to do! I particularly loved the stabbing a needle into a foam backing repetitively, part. It’s great therapy let me tell you. Staring at the blank piece of felt I paused at first, wondering if I could summon creative brilliance but then I decided it’d be best to chuck that agenda out the window. The result was this willy-nilly, freehand, woolly flower doodle below. Sometimes having no agenda can be the best agenda.

Thank you Julia for sharing your studio and supplies with me.Woolly Mammoth Sketch

Cool! I am sure your mom would concur about the therapeutic effects of needlework!
