Signs of Spring

March 21, 2015

Piles of bunny poop are appearing in the backyard: a clear sign spring has sprung. The cute little buggers are a welcome sight after a long winter.

Two winter’s ago we bought this bunny embroidery kit for our daughter. She’d shown an interest in stitching before by habitually coaxing projects out of my hands, mid stitch, into hers. However, fourteen months have passed since we gifted the kit to her and she’s yet to take a crack at it.

This winter impatience got the best of me so I asked if she’d like me to make it for her. With a coy smile she replied, “yes please”. I happily complied – it was a win win.

If you are learning embroidery, Kiriki Press kits are a fabulous place to start. They are the creation of a local Toronto artist named Michelle Galletta.
